EduBold -Privacy Policy
We take data protection seriously. This policy explains how EduBold collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information for schools, parents, staff, and students.
1. Information we collect
EduBold processes data provided by educational institutions, including student profiles, guardian details, staff records, fee transactions, attendance, academic performance, and documents uploaded during admissions. We also capture usage metadata (device, browser, IP, log timestamps) for security and diagnostics.
2. How we use information
Data powers core platform features: admissions workflows, fee invoicing, payroll, accounting, communications, and analytics. We never sell personal data. Aggregated, anonymised insights may inform roadmap decisions or benchmark reports.
3. Legal basis & consent
Processing is governed by agreements with institutions and, where required, explicit consent from parents or staff. Schools remain data controllers; EduBold operates as a data processor.
4. Storage & security
Data is hosted in ISO-certified Indian data centres with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted via RBAC and 2FA. Backups follow a rolling 30-day retention policy.
5. Data retention
We retain records for the duration of the customer contract or as mandated by applicable regulations. Institutions may request deletion or export of data at any time.
6. Third-party processors
EduBold may rely on audited sub-processors for hosting, SMS/email delivery, or analytics. All third parties sign data protection agreements aligned with Indian IT Act and GDPR principles.
7. Parent & student rights
Requests for access, correction, or deletion can be raised via the school or directly at privacy@edubold.com. We collaborate with the institution to fulfil requests within statutory timelines.
8. Updates
Policy updates will be posted here with version history. Continued use of the platform after updates implies acceptance.
